Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Core + Boulder 200 Briefcase Solar Generator

The Yeti 1000 is fantastic. It runs my CPAP machine all night, and the Boulder 200 panel charges it back up during the day. The panel is a bit heavy, but the briefcase design is convenient. I've only used it in full sun, but it performs as advertised.

I bought this kit to have a reliable backup power source for our home. The Yeti 1000 has enough capacity to keep our essentials running, and the Boulder 200 panel is rugged and easy to set up. Last month during a storm, we used it to power a fridge and some lights for a day. It was a lifesaver. The solar charging is efficient, and the whole setup is user-friendly.

The Yeti 1000 and the Boulder 200 panel together are quite heavy. It's not something you'd want to carry long distances. But if you're car camping, it's fine. The power output is great, and the panel does a decent job. Just be prepared for the weight.

I bought this kit expecting the Boulder 200 to charge the Yeti 1000 quickly, but on average I only got about 100W out of it on a sunny day. That's half the rated power. It took three days to fully charge the Yeti from empty. The Yeti itself is great, but I feel like the panel is underpowered for the kit. I'm a bit disappointed.
